PASTOR'S

WELCOME

The Bible tells us in the gospel of John that Jesus “came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly”—John 10:10.

What a wonderful God and Father we serve, that He “Gave us His only begotten Son” so that we could find this style of life, forgiveness of our sins, and be filled with a future and hope.

We believe this is the heartbeat of this church, that while we are not perfect, we serve the One who is, and in His love and the power of His indwelling Spirit, He is healing us spiritually, emotionally and changing us from the inside out day by day into His very image.

We believe His love is overwhelming, His presence is ever with us, and His grace is sufficient.

We would love for you to come and visit us, and see for yourself the power of Jesus Christ in the lives of ordinary people living to serve an extraordinary God.

In His matchless love and grace,

Scott Rush

Our Statement of Beliefs

#1- THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe and teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man, and thus the 66 Books given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the whole Word of God as He gave them to us by a process of dual authorship.

The Holy Spirit so superintended the human authors that, through their individual personalities and different styles of writing, they composed and recorded God’s Word to man
(2 Peter 1:20-21).

We believe and teach that the Bible is verbally inspired in every word (2 Timothy 3:16) and is absolutely inerrant, infallible and is our only reliable rule of faith and practice (Matt. 5:18; John 10:35; 1 Cor. 2:13; Hebrews 4:12).

We believe and teach that, whereas there may be several applications of any given passage of Scripture, there is but one true interpretation. The meaning of Scripture is to be found as one diligently applies the literal, grammatical-historical method of interpretation under the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit (John 16:12-15; 1 Cor. 2:7-15).

We believe and teach that “Man stands in judgment under the truth of Scripture, never does Scripture stand under the judgment of man.”

#2- GOD

We believe and teach there is but one living and true God, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent—Holy and perfect in all His attributes, eternally existing without beginning and without end in 3 persons:

  • God the Father—The first person of the trinity who orders all things in accordance to His sovereign will and purposes (Isaiah 14:26-27 / Acts 2:23 / Ephesians 3:11).

  • God the Son—The second person of the trinity who is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father (John 10:30).

Jesus Christ was God incarnate, fully Human and fully God (Philippians 2:5-8 / Colossians 2:9).

  • God the Holy Spirit—The third person of the trinity who is eternal and possessing all the attributes of deity: Omnipresence (Psalm 139:7-10), Omnipotence (Romans 15:13), Omniscience (Isaiah 40:13-14).

The Holy Spirit is the Supernatural agent in regeneration (1 Corinthians 12:13) and the indwelling power behind a believers sanctification (Romans 8:9-11).

#3- SALVATION

We believe and teach that salvation is wholly a work of God by His grace based upon the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone (Acts 4:12; John 14:6) and not by human merit or works (Ephesians 2:8-9):

  • Doctrine of Election—We teach that election is an act of God by which, before the foundation of the world, He chose in Christ Jesus those whom He would graciously save and sanctify (Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:4-11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13).

We teach that God's sovereign election does not contradict or excuse man's responsibility to repent and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior (John 3:18-19; Romans 10:9-10).

We teach that God's sovereignty and man's responsibility are not contradictions, but divine mysteries perfectly balanced within God's infinite wisdom and beyond the comprehension of man's finite wisdom (Deuteronomy 29:29; Romans 11:33).

  • Doctrine of Justification—We teach that justification before God, is an act of God by which He declares righteous all guilty sinners whom have received His grace through faith in Christ, and imputes unto them the righteousness of Christ
    (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

  • Doctrine of Security—We teach that all of God's redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are secure in Christ Jesus forever (1 Peter 1:4-5).

Although we rejoice in our assurance of Salvation through the promises of God's word, we also acknowledge Scripture clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an excuse for sinful living and carnality.

#4- THE CHURCH

We teach that the Church is not a building, but rather a living organism comprised of every person God has elected to salvation.

We teach the instant a person is regenerated, they forever become a part of the Body of Christ
(1 Corinthians 12:13).

We teach that the supreme authority over the church is Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:18) and all the church is and does is for His glory (Ephesians 3:21).

Our Beliefs (cont.)

#5- MAN

We teach that man was created by God in the image of God (Genesis 1:26, 2:7) and at his initial creation, man was free of sin.

We teach that because of Adam's willful disobedience to God's revealed will and Word, sin entered the world and spread to all of mankind where by all men are born with a sin nature (Psalm 51:5).

The heart of man is totally depraved and unable to perform any works of righteousness (Jeremiah 17:9; Isaiah 64:6) apart from Christ, and outside of the redemptive work of the Holy Spirit in his heart, he abides under the wrath of God (John 3:36; Romans 1:18; Ephesians 5:6), he is guilty before God (Romans 3:23), and hopelessly lost without the divine grace and intervention of Almighty God
(Ephesians 2:1-9).
